TASHA COBBS - RYMAN

With all the uncertainty of COVID-19, We'd like to adjust our approach to Tasha Cobbs Leonard live recording at the Ryman. Several unknowns with Covid 19 will impact how many people can attend the event and will create a unique and interesting visual challenge as we adhere to government guidelines. In light of this, we'd like to present an unorthodox way of capturing this event. Traditionally, we'd have elaborative staging and set as the artist, faces the audience. We want to flip this on its head by re-orientating the stage to have Tasha's back facing the Ryman's seating and windows.

This perspective allows us the flexibility in the way we capture the record while embracing the majesty of the Ryman. This concept has been done before, on a small scale with Lauren Daigle and Natalie grant currently doing something for joy FM. Period. But. has never been genuinely done on a large scale like this before. A capture like this allows us a unique opportunity to not fully invest in one or two static looks but will enable us to be creative in the approach and the way we handle the night's capture. A potential setup could look like a solo Tasha standing in the middle of the empty Ryman singing in a powerful ballad, or incorporating different looks of her team and musicians, all clustered in small groups in small areas period. The key here would be variety in the capture.

We can also play with, Physical blocking, lighting stage placement and camera movement to help us make each song unique. We could start on the stage of the Ryman and move to the floor creating an intimate experience for the audience of the view.
