Patrick Mayberry - Studio Recording
**Concept Overview:**
For our creative approach, we'll harmonize the natural essence of the studio with a touch of refined rock aesthetics. Imagine a dark green curtain or fabric draping the back wall, adding rich texture and depth while concealing the plain white backdrop. This simple yet effective change will transform the studio's ambiance.
**Audience Arrangement:**
In a departure from the conventional "in-the-round" recording setup, we'll arrange the audience on road cases, fostering an intimate and authentic vibe. This setup embraces the studio's raw and edgy atmosphere, creating a cohesive look and feel by allowing the audience to sit on road cases.. The crowd will form a 180-degree semicircle around the band, enhancing visual dynamics while keeping the audience on the wings. This arrangement allows us to capture the band's performance without distractions and maintain a focused energy.
**Camera Movement and Lighting:**
Our camera strategy is designed to capture the raw energy of Patrick's performance. Utilizing controlled movements with long lenses and stable setups, we'll draw the audience into the performance without resorting to chaotic handheld shots. Depending on the budget, we'll either employ a skilled Steadicam operator or a dolly system to supplement the movement. In regards to lighting we’re going to embrace hard light with steel green notes giving Patrick a warmth to the image but contrast with he steel green harsh back light.
**Objective:**
The primary goal is to elevate Patrick, showcasing his unique energy and musicality in a manner that distinguishes him from typical worship leaders. By embracing his dynamic presence and authentic sound, we aim to create a standout visual and auditory experience that resonates deeply with the audience.
