Treatment

In the midst of unrest and a country that is hurting, people our searching for a solutions, hope. Our God makes a way if we'll only hang on by the faith that saved us.

Travis stands in an empty white room, as projected images of unrest and turmoil flash across the walls. He looks around at the state of our world today, and begins singing, "Made A Way" prophesying that when were in the middle of the unknown, God still makes a way. Our country, our churches are desperately looking for hope. We begin unpacking that even though we don't know how where going to make it through the tension and atmosphere of hate, God has already made away. We also, unpacked certain parts of Travis's story. Showing images of newspaper reports and other simple ways of showing his personal journey and struggle. That the images on the walls are just a passing moment and our God is at work even in the chaos.

When we loose hope, sometimes the best thing we can do as believers is looking back on past miracles, looking at how God has moved through generations of faith filled people before us. As Travis, stands in the room, we begin seeing projected images of archive/captured footage of people gathering and praying over our nations, great individual moments of compassion and heroism, intercutting with the chaos of the current state of were our country stands. We begin to see individual portraits of people who don't know how God is going to move in their life, but desperately need him to move. They need Him to move in their family, their city, their church, their health, etc.

As the song builds into the bridge, we begin to see these people begin to sing with Travis, drowning out the chaotic images of pain and unrest in our world, overpowering the hate and uncertainty. These people are believing for miracles and wonders in their everyday life, they might be singing in a hospital, in the middle of a road, with a child in their arms, and in the middle of chaos. In the room, Travis joins the individuals as we proclaim God's goodness and faithfulness in our country.

We end with a portrait of Travis and his family, as they proclaim God is good within their families life.

Look and Feel

The look and feel of Travis singing in the room would be very clean and warm. We'd make sure that even thought this might be a heavy topic, people see the hope and warmth of what we're trying to create. Lighting would be very clean and led it elf to more bold colors. The camera movement would be very fluid or static to contrast with the handheld raw capture of news footage we'd be using as the projected images and within the edit itself.

The new's footage and b-roll  will be very soft and hard to see, these images will convey a feeling of unease. Some of these images will be black and white and some will be color. This footages goal is to be a strong contrast to Travis's performance.

Thank you for the opportunity to pitch.

Sincerely,

Steven Lester
