Kari Jobe - Live Recording

Goal: The goal is to create an intimate live recording that has a unique visual identity. The traditional record has a variety of LED fixtures and visual content to drive the event's look and energy. What we'd like to do for Kari's record is scale this back and rely on unique lighting setups and the natural texture of the room's concrete and staged fabrics. In light of Kari's sketch, what we'd like to do is surround her and the team with people and in the distance fabric. Very similar to the Sam Smith and Lauren Daigle references. Keeping Kari close to the audience and allowing her to connect with the people in the room as we all worship together.

We'd also hang a soft-box over Kari and the audience that would allow us to do unique lighting textures all the while beautifully lighting Kari and her team. This would enable us to use textured lighting with bright white looks.

Look and Feel - Camera Movement and Capture

Goal: With the capture of this recording, we’d embrace fluid and steady movements, and stay away from chaotic and erratic handheld motion. This is in hopes to create a product that allows the audience to connect with Kari, and the emotion of her team, by not drawing the audience eye artificially but by the genuine experience Kari and her team bring.
